Advertising Age Ranks GSI Interactive Marketing Services in Top 15 U.S. Digital Agencies According to 2010 Annual Rankings Survey

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., May 20, 2010 – In its annual report of the top advertising agencies by revenue, Advertising Age has ranked GSI Commerce’s Interactive Marketing Services division, which includes TrueAction™ and e-Dialog, in the Top 15 U.S. Digital Agencies in the industry.
The 2010 Ad Age Agency Report was compiled via the Ad Age DataCenter. Based on revenue from 2009, TrueAction and e-Dialog were ranked among more than 900 advertising, marketing-services and digital media agencies. The report appeared in both Ad Age’s print edition and on AdAge.com.

GSI Commerce Appoints Online Ad Veteran Stephen Denton as President of GSI Media, Inc.

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., April 20, 2010 – GSI Commerce Inc. (Nasdaq: GSIC), the leading provider of ecommerce and multichannel solutions, today announced that Stephen Denton has joined the company as president of GSI Media, Inc., where he will oversee the operations and strategic direction of the company. The Pepperjam affiliate network, acquired by GSI last year, will operate under the GSI Media brand. GSI Media is a separate business unit of TrueActionTM, GSI’s digital design and marketing agency, reporting to Nick Pahade, president of TrueAction and CEO of GSI Media.

As president of GSI Media, Denton will lead and manage the company’s affiliate network, Pepperjam, as well as shape and drive the direction of the overall GSI Media business unit. Since the acquisition, several of GSI clients, including Modell’s and Shop.NHL.com, have successfully transitioned over to the Pepperjam affiliate network.

As part of the transition, Pepperjam founder, Kristopher B. In this capacity, Saridakis will oversee GSI’s existing marketing services businesses, e-Dialog and TrueAction, and will execute the company’s overall marketing services growth strategy, including the addition of new business lines, geographic expansion and further acquisitions.
Since announcing marketing services as a growth initiative in 2007, the segment has emerged as an important contributor to GSI’s growth and profitability, fueled by strong organic growth and the acquisitions of e-Dialog, Silverlign and Pepperjam. The Marketing Services segment contributed annual revenue of $127.6 million in 2009, up from $26.9 million in 2007, and has approximately 800 employees.
Saridakis joins GSI from Gannett Co., Inc., a leading news and information service, where he served as senior vice president and chief digital officer since 2008 and head of Gannet Marketing Services. Prior to his role with Gannett, Saridakis was CEO of PointRoll, and helped build the company into the leader in rich media, serving the world’s top creative and media ad agencies. Previous to PointRoll, Saridakis served as senior vice president and general manager of DoubleClick’s Global TechSolution division, during which time he expanded the company’s global footprint.

TrueAction Expands its Agency Services to Europe

Peak Performance is the largest sportswear outfitter in Sweden and one of the 11 fashion apparel brands of IC Companys, a worldwide designer and seller of men’s and women’s clothing.
The launch marks TrueAction’s first foray into international online commerce, an effort intended to complement its U.S. client portfolio. TrueAction Boosts Its Madison Avenue Presence with Hiring of Stuart Bogaty as Vice President of Interactive Marketing Services

In this role, Bogaty will focus on executing innovative media opportunities that will deliver value and drive incremental revenue for TrueAction clients. The move punctuates an aggressive year for TrueAction as it continues to expand its presence and service offerings.

As vice president of interactive marketing services, Bogaty will oversee the development of strategic media plans for clients, as well as build and manage new and existing New York relationships. GSI Commerce Acquires Pepperjam

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., and WILKES-BARRE, Pa., Sept. 1, 2009 - GSI Commerce Inc. (Nasdaq: GSIC), the leading provider of e-commerce and multichannel solutions, today announced it has acquired certain assets of the Pepperjam affiliate marketing network and the Pepperjam full-service, interactive marketing agency which specializes in search. The acquisition will expand the breadth and depth of GSI’s interactive marketing services capabilities and its reach into existing and new vertical markets. Pepperjam will benefit from GSI’s scale and market-leading position in e-commerce and marketing services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Last year, our affiliate marketing channel generated more than $100 million in sales for our clients. We expect the affiliate business to represent an important opportunity over time."
According to independent firm Forrester Research Inc.'s April 2009 report, "Online Marketing Benchmarks For Internet Retailers,” online retailers spend 20 percent of their online advertising budgets on affiliate marketing and online marketplaces.

gsi interactive Expands Digital Agency Footprint with Acquisition of West Coast-Based Silverlign

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., and CAMPBELL, Calif., April 6, 2009 – gsi interactive℠, the digital marketing services agency of leading e-commerce solutions provider, GSI Commerce Inc. (Nasdaq: GSIC), today announced it has acquired Silverlign Group Inc., an award-winning integrated marketing strategy and design agency based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The acquisition establishes a West Coast presence for gsi interactive and adds several new client relationships.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Silverlign will operate as a stand-alone subsidiary of gsi interactive and the agency’s two founders, Basso and Tim Kain, the agency’s executive creative director, will continue to lead Silverlign’s operations and report to Pahade. This acquisition follows gsi interactive’s expansion into New York City with the opening of an office there in March.
Silverlign’s core competencies include research and strategy, integrated design and digital solutions. Based on these strengths, the agency provides integrated brand and marketing strategy, Web strategy and design, brand communications and advertising, online marketing, search engine optimization, user experience and usability, and emerging media services. The majority of the agency’s business is generated from clients in the consumer retail, travel and technology industries.
Silverlign was established in 2001 by founders and current owners Basso and Kain. Silverlign employs approximately 25 full-time professionals that provide integrated strategy and design agency services to approximately 23 clients.

(Nasdaq: GSIC), today announced that the digital agency has opened an office in New York to better serve its clients. gsi interactive provides a comprehensive suite of digital solutions, including strategy, usability, design, marketing, photography, content development, and emerging media.
The new office is located in the SoHo section of Manhattan and marks the first satellite office for gsi interactive, located in King of Prussia, Pa. The opening of the office reflects the growing focus in the digital space for the company and its client base, as well as the increase in the number of clients in and around the New York area.
